This was my mother’s recipe, and she taught me to cook by sight and taste, not necessarily measure! The amounts of tomato paste and water vary depending on how much leftover Christmas turkey, or Sunday pot roast, you need to transform. It really is great on a cold winter night. If you want to eat it like they do in Georgia where Mother is from, get a loaf of white bread to go with it! But if not, it’s great with drop biscuits.
